Last Day to Submit Letter of Intent to ACDC Endorsement

The last day to submit a Letter of Intent to seek the ACDC Endorsment, and pay the filing fee, is Friday Jan 31, 2025. at 5 PM
The Letter of Intent should specify the elected office being sought. Please address the letter to:

The letter must be received in the ACDC office by January 31st at 5 PM. Letters postmarked on or before Jan. 31st but not received in the office by Jan. 31st will not be accepted.
ACDC Endorsement Information
The Allegheny County Democratic Committee Endorsement Vote will be held on Sunday March 9th, 2025 from 10AM to 3PM at the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers Building at 10 S 19th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203
Elected Office & Endorsement Filing Fee
Allegheny County Sheriff $2,500.00
Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas $2,500.00
Allegheny County Council Districts 1,3,4,8,9,12 $ 500.00
Magisterial District Court Judges $ 500.00
05-02-13, 05-02-14, 05-02-25,
05-02-26, 05-02-28, 05-03-17
Mayor City of Pittsburgh $2,000.00
Pittsburgh City Council Districts 2,4,6,8 $ 500.00
Pittsburgh Public Schools Board 1,3,5,7,9 $ 500.00
The number of Common Pleas Court openings and the Magisterial District Court Judge seats are subject to confirmation by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.
Endorsement Requirements:
Candidates seeking the Allegheny County Democratic Committee Endorsement must submit the following by January 31, 2025::
- A Letter of Intent to Seek ACDC Endorsement is due by January 31st at 5 PM.
Specify the elected office being sought and address the letter to:

3. A headshot photo suitable for printing in the ACDC Voter Guide.
4. 150 Word Statement about you, your qualifications and your reason for running for the office. The statement will be used in the ACDC Voter Guide.
All Common Pleas Court candidates must provide their ACBA Judicial Rating.
If you are citing an endorsement, the organization or individual must provide authorization that you may use their name in your statement.
Candidates who win the endorsement may be assessed an additional charge for election day poll cards.
