Shaler Democratic Committee Food Drive Meet and Greet

For the fourth year in a row, Shaler Dems are supporting the Shaler Area School District by collecting food supplies for students in grades K-12 who need weekend supplies. Through the district’s Backpack Initiative (opens in new tab), each family participating in the program receives a backpack containing child-friendly, single-serving snacks and easily prepared meals each Friday. Come to the Meet and Greet event at Acrospire Brewing Company (1702 Mt. Royal Blvd (opens in new tab).) on Wednesday, October 7, 6-8 pm. Shaler School District’s Backpack Initiative was established in 2014 to assist district students in need of weekend food supplies and currently distributes food to 130 children. Shaler Dems are proud to offer a helping hand.
