YDAC Candidate Recommendation Forum 2024

It’s that time of the year! YDAC is proud to announce our Candidate Recommendation Forum for 2024! Candidates in races eligible for Allegheny County Democratic Committee endorsement will be invited speak before the YDAC membership, and the membership will in turn vote to recommend candidates for County Committee endorsement. The forum will occur on Saturday, February 3, 11:00AM at the Firefighters Hall - 120 Flowers Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207.

Candidates: The recommendation forum will be open to Congressional, State Senate, and State House candidates. A questionnaire (5-8 questions long) will be sent to all campaigns we have been able to reach. There will be 2-3 minutes for speeches, 2-3 minutes for questions from the audience. The deadline to complete the questionnaire is January 19. Members: the vote will be conducted via virtual ballot, going out to membership. The vote will use a Qualified Elector System: the voter must be a general member in good standing (paid dues and attended a general body meeting in the last 12 months before the 02/03/24 forum – email youngalleghenydems@gmail.com to double-check).
